| Covering an area
of 1200 acres, this is the first
International Airport in the country outside the domain of the
Government of India. Sited at Nedumbassery, the Cochin International
Airport is an innovative undertaking in the history of civil aviation in India where the Government of Kerala, the travelling
public, Non-Resident Indians, financial organizations, Airport Service
Providers and others have joined hands in the equity structure. The Airport site is very close and centrally located to all three National Highways passing through Kerala (NH 47, NH 17, NH 49). The main Railway line from Kanyakumari to Delhi is adjacent to the airport, and so is the Cochin Sea Port. |

| Like the Domestic Terminal, the International Terminal can also accommodate upto 800 passengers at a time. The arrival hall has about 6000 sq. ft of Duty Free shopping space while 1250 sq. ft of Duty Free shopping area is available for departing passengers. All Domestic Terminal services are available in the International Terminal. |
| Sited
on the ground floor, the arrival hall has 8 immigration counters. Red
(for passengers with dutiable items) and Green (for passengers
without dutiable items) channels are available for arriving
passengers.
Additional facilities like Prepaid Taxi Car Service, Car Rental, Flight Information Display Board, Facilitation Counter and Luxury Coaches are available outside the Arrival Customs hall. |

| The Domestic Terminal comprises of well divided arrival and departure areas and caters to a peak capacity of around 800 passengers. The terminal houses a shopping complex consisting of around 20 shops. Insurance Counter for Air Insurance, Exchange Bureau, Tourist Counter, Traveller Requisite Shops and other conveniences are provided in the complex. Car rental, STD/ISD/Local Phone facility, First-Aid room and postal facility are also available. |
